At my friend’s suggestion, I watched The Mehta Boys yesterday on Amazon Prime. Initially, I wondered what it would be like and whether it was worth watching. But after watching it, I was quite surprised.
The Mehta Boys, Boman Irani’s acting and direction, can reverse the downfall of Bollywood. The richest person in the country whose dream is to build an education institute. The architectural project of this dream has been given to a Mumbai based company in which Avinash Tiwari works. who is playing the role of Boman Irani’s son.
Due to the sudden death of the mother, a situation is created in which the father and son have to live together for 48 hours. There is always a conflict of opinion between father and son, due to which they keep fighting over some issue or another all the time. From the beginning to the end, you will feel who is right. Whose opinion is correct and whose is wrong? But by the end, you will understand.
The most special thing that I thought of in this movie is that more focus has been given to creating situations instead of dialogues, due to which some scenes are such that you can directly relate to them. There are different twists, like passport theft, and a little resentment between Avinash and his girlfriend because of his father. Yes, it is true that there is no action or fight scene in this movie, the shooting was done in some limited locations inside Mumbai, and there could have been some more entertainment and comedy scenes, but the point is all this, if you are a mature person who watch lots of series and movies, you will enjoy it and will get to see a unique story.
The Mehta Boys is currently Streaming on Prime Video, Here the trailer
